Puppy School

Beginning training at an early age is the best way to ensure that a new puppy fits easily into your home and lifestyle. Puppies also need to learn how to interact calmly and safely with other people and animals when you are at home or out and about together.

Our  qualified trainers will help you learn the basics of dog behaviour and get loads of tips to help your pup grow up to be a happy, relaxed and polite dog for many years to come.  It’s also a great way to meet some other new ‘puppy parents’ to talk about your experiences.   Coming to our classes also helps familiarise your puppy with our clinic so future visits are stress free for you both.

Ready for class?

To start puppy school your puppy should have had at least one vaccination.    We recommend small and medium breeds start their first class no later than 16 weeks old and larger breeds start no later than 14 weeks.   Please bring your dog’s lead with you to class.

Cost

Cost is $88 for 4 x 1 hour classes held on either a Wednesday evening or Saturday afternoon here at Palmyra Vet Hospital.  Places do fill quickly so please contact us on 9319 8211 or email: nurses@palmyravet.com.au as soon as you know the details of your puppy’s arrival in to your home.
